Yes, you can pay for a new roof with Bitcoin. Capstone Roofing accepts Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana as payment for roofing work in the Birmingham and New Orleans areas. We started taking cryptocurrency in 2024, and it is still one of our payment options today.
This post explains how paying with crypto works, what to think about before you pay this way, and the other payment options we offer.

Which Cryptocurrencies Does Capstone Roofing Accept?
We accept three of the most widely used cryptocurrencies:
- Bitcoin (BTC)
- Ethereum (ETH)
- Solana (SOL)
If you hold a different coin, just ask. We will tell you what we can and cannot take before any work begins.
How Paying for a Roof With Crypto Works
Paying with cryptocurrency follows the same steps as any other roof project. The only difference is how you settle the bill.
- Free inspection and estimate. We inspect your roof, attic and ventilation, take photos, and give you a clear written estimate.
- Tell us you want to pay with crypto. Let us know up front which coin you plan to use, so we can set up the invoice the right way.
- We do the work. Most roof replacements take one to two days, followed by a full cleanup, including a magnet sweep of your yard and driveway to pick up loose nails.
- You get a digital invoice. The invoice includes the option to pay with your chosen cryptocurrency. You send the payment from your own wallet.
- The payment is confirmed on the blockchain. Once the network confirms it, your project is paid in full.
Things to Know Before You Pay With Crypto
Crypto can be a convenient way to pay, but it works differently than a credit card or a check. Keep these points in mind:
- Prices move. Your invoice is in dollars. The amount of crypto needed to cover it depends on the coin’s price when you pay.
- Payments cannot be reversed. A crypto payment is final once it is confirmed. Double-check the wallet address and amount before you send it.
- Taxes may apply. Spending cryptocurrency can count as selling it for tax purposes. Talk with your tax professional if you are not sure how it affects you. We are roofers, not tax advisors.
- Network fees. Your wallet or exchange may charge a small fee to send the payment.

Other Ways to Pay for Your New Roof
Crypto is just one option. We also offer:
- Affordable monthly options if you would rather spread out the cost. Ask about them when you schedule your free estimate.
- Insurance claim help if storm damage is involved. We document the damage and meet with your adjuster. Learn how roof insurance claims work.

We are certified with GAF and CertainTeed, and we are licensed in Alabama (#30042) and Louisiana (#79584).
